THE BABY LOSS MENTOR • ROCHELLE OLSEN •

Hi I’m Rochelle - founder of the Baby Loss Mentor

my story

A helper by nature, I am here to guide you as you navigate life after baby loss

Your health matters, no matter where you call home. Living in rural areas shouldn’t mean compromising on the quality of support you receive. With a background in clinical pharmacy and extensive experience working in rural pharmacy, I’ve spent years advocating for rural women — because your wellbeing is my priority.

I’ve seen firsthand the challenges rural communities face. That’s why I founded The Baby Loss Mentor. I believe every baby loss mum deserves compassionate, accessible support. My journey through pharmacy has given me a solid understanding of the unique healthcare needs in rural areas, and I’m committed to making sure those needs in this space are met with excellence and care.

The Baby Loss Mentor is dedicated to supporting rural communities with empathy and expertise.

I’m here to ensure you receive the care and attention you deserve, with a focus on making baby loss support more accessible and tailored to your needs.

Edward Lloyd Olsen

I am also a baby loss mum

On the 17th of July 2016, my husband Robert and I lost our first-born son Edward. At just 7 hours old, Edward gained his wings and my life to this day has never been the same.

The passing of Edward split my life in two. I commonly refer to my life in two parts Before Edward (BE) and After Edward (AE). At this difficult time, I could not comprehend nor navigate an existence without my son. I lost everything; my will to survive, my identity, myself.

Along with losing our Edward, I have experienced two first-trimester miscarriages. I know firsthand the devastation of baby loss. The fact was, life as we knew it would never be the same.

From grief to nurture - how I found my calling

After Edward died, I was, on autopilot and had no idea how to start living again. I started from ground zero and with a lot of persistence, I started to gain momentum and move forward.

Since the loss of Edward, my heart and soul has been forged into the work of helping other baby loss mums. My work is in honour of Edward and as I nurture others and offer support, I am honouring my son.

I have since been blessed with two more sons. Through my own journey, I have learnt how to survive and ultimately thrive through pregnancy and parenting after loss.

As you navigate the journey from isolation to understanding, know that you don’t have to face it alone.

My own experience with baby loss has ignited a deep calling within me to support others like you. That’s why I created The Baby Loss Mentor.

Your healing and well-being are at the heart of everything I do.

Feedback received

“After losing our little Logan I felt there was no light to guide me out of the darkness of losing him. Until I took a leap and trusted to go seek help and work with Rochelle. She has made a huge positive impact on my life and I appreciate how we bonded and worked together. Thank you! You're what we all need in our time of losing our boy. X”
