WATCH NOTE TO FLEDGLING

From The Artist:

This Sand art story was based on a doctorate study regarding woman's health and good nursing practice for women in Australia. The original title has been changed to safeguard the study. I find myself as an artist using birds and animals in Sand art Media to explore topics that are difficult. Hence my production company is called Birdbrained Media.

"Note to Fledgling" is a universal "letter" from a parent who loves their child and wants them to know how to achieve their dreams, and have hope throughout their life, even when the going gets tough. "Note to Fledgling" reflects on the ups and downs of a typical life, explaining that trials will affect all of us, but its how we pick ourselves up and move forward that's important. This is a video you can share with your child that discusses the truth that any dream worth having doesn't come easy and that when going through trials, you are not alone........

Children are aware as they get older, that their parents may not be perfect, but this video acknowledges that no-one is perfect and parents don't always make perfect decisions. Being open and authentic when parenting, learning and reflecting on our decisions is vital to moving forward in life as well as letting people in to help. Sometimes people are brought into our lives to help us heal.

I hope you enjoy this sand art performance where Australian herons and a sandpiper are used as an analogy for what humans experiences in this life.

Music used with permission by Peter McDonald. This video was produced by birdbrained media.
